The footsteps of youth were as swift as the autumn wind. The blooming smiles seem like flowers in the dawn of spring. On 29th September, 2017, teachers and students from Anqing Foreign Language School’s Junior High Department of the west campus enthusiastically welcomed the sports carnival on campus--the 14th Session Track& Field Sports Meet in Autumn.
To begin with, the march-in ceremony wonderfully showcased the theme of the sports meet ‘Happy Sports& Health Is with You and Me’. Initially the honor guard stepped into the venue, consisting of school flag, logo as well as colored flags.
Afterwards, we welcomed the cheer-leading and athlete representative teams in addition to the referee square formation. Valiant athletes stepped into the sports field with vigorous steps. In the meantime, brilliant talent shows pushed the atmosphere to a new high, which made students’ passionate performance a new highlight in the opening ceremony of Anqing Foreign Language School’s sports meet.
Furthermore, Principal Assistant Ling Qian issued a keynote speech in which he addressed that Anqing Foreign Language School would promote classics reading and sports meet as highlights of quality-oriented education, which meant that the track& field sports meet was not only an important platform for the implementation of Anqing Foreign Language School’s quality-oriented education, but also a stage to cultivate students’ comprehensive quality and demonstrate their elegant demeanor as well as literary talent.
Last but not the least, athlete and umpire representatives made pledges at the opening ceremony respectively in that they would take the match seriously and observe various arrangements of the grand event.
In conclusion, Vice Principal Xu Xuchang announced the official start of the 14th Session Autumn Track& Field Sports Meet in the Junior High Section of Anqing Foreign Language School’s west campus!
